19 SEP · THE DANCING WARRIOR

with Joanne

Begin by grounding the practice through Prāṇāyāma and meditation, using the breath to cultivate focus and prepare the body and mind for movement.

The Vinyasa practice then builds from the foundations of traditional Sūrya Namaskāra, exploring the relationship between breath, alignment and rhythm. From this familiar foundation, move into the more dynamic Dancing Warrior sequence — a flowing exploration of strength, balance and fluid transitions.

With more time to practise and refine transitions, this session invites you to move beyond simply completing the sequence and discover how breath can become the thread that connects every movement.

20 SEP · SIDE-FACING FLOW

with Meiyan

Begin with Prāṇāyāma and meditation before bringing awareness into the spaces between the more familiar forward-and-back movements of Vinyasa.

This practice explores what happens when we turn sideways and move beyond the front of the mat. Through lateral transitions, side bends, twists and spinal movements, discover new ways of creating space through the body while developing balance and stability.

Working in different planes of movement challenges coordination and invites a greater awareness of the side body, hips and spine. A practice for anyone looking to expand their movement vocabulary and experience a greater sense of freedom and spaciousness in Vinyasa.

26 SEP · ASHTANGA PRIMARY SERIES

with Joanne

Start with 30 minutes of Prāṇāyāma and meditation to establish a steady internal rhythm before entering the traditional Ashtanga Primary Series.

Rather than rushing through a set sequence, use the spaciousness of a 2-hour practice to explore the foundations of the Primary Series and the principles that give it its distinctive rhythm and discipline. Discover how ujjāyī breath, dṛṣṭi and bandhas work together to support concentration, stability and conscious movement.

This is an opportunity to experience the practice as more than a sequence of postures — using repetition, breath and attention to cultivate consistency and eventually a quality of moving meditation.

27 SEP · MANDALA FLOW

with Meiyan

After settling into Prāṇāyāma and meditation, leave the conventional front-facing Vinyasa behind and begin to explore the mat from different perspectives.

Mandala Flow uses circular pathways and multi-directional transitions to create a dynamic, continuous practice. Moving around the mat challenges spatial awareness and coordination while opening the hips and encouraging greater fluidity in the body.

With 90 minutes dedicated to the Vinyasa practice, there is room to explore creative transitions and discover how movement can become less linear, more intuitive and deeply connected to breath.

3 OCT · NADA FLOW

with Meiyan

Begin with Prāṇāyāma and meditation, gradually turning the attention inward before bringing sound into the physical practice.

This Nada-inspired Vinyasa explores the relationship between breath, movement and vibration. The practice begins calmly and builds through a mindful sequence, encouraging you to experience Vinyasa not simply as physical movement but as an opportunity to listen, feel and become more attentive.

The practice will also introduce the traditional Sūrya Namaskāra chant, bringing mantra and rhythm into the Sun Salutation. Discover how chanting can transform a familiar physical sequence into a form of moving meditation.

4 OCT · ROCKET YOGA

with Joanne

Begin with Prāṇāyāma and meditation before shifting into an energetic and playful Rocket Yoga practice.

Drawing from the Ashtanga tradition, Rocket offers a more accessible and dynamic approach to working with challenging postures, transitions and inversions. Use the extended practice time to explore intelligent progressions, build strength and experiment with arm balances and inversions at your own level.

Rather than focusing on achieving a particular shape, this practice is an invitation to approach challenge with curiosity, confidence and playfulness. Learn to work with modifications and variations so that the practice can meet you where you are.
