The Art of Quiet Strength: Taichi Yoga Workshop

  • Yoga Seeds Shala 1384 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 Singapore, 569932 Singapore (map)

An invitation to slow down, soften, and return to the quiet intelligence of the body.

Taichi Yoga is a contemplative movement practice where the fluidity of Taichi meets the grounded awareness of Yoga. Each posture unfolds into the next in a continuous, unhurried rhythm — guided by breath, intention, and an attunement to internal energy.

Inspired by traditional Taichi principles and a specialised Taichi Yoga method, this approach emphasises effortlessness, circularity, and the cultivation of Qi.

Unlike traditional yoga flow, this practice places greater emphasis on balance, coordination, and the intelligent shifting of weight through the body — helping to improve mobility, regulate the nervous system, and cultivate greater fluidity, vitality, and ease.

Rather than striving for bigger shapes or deeper stretches, you’ll explore how to move with sensitivity and ease — allowing strength and balance to emerge organically.

Over three hours, you’ll be guided through a thoughtfully paced journey that weaves together gentle mobility, breath-led flow, and moments of stillness — with space to understand the principles behind the practice and how they translate into the way you move.

The practice is both meditative and restorative, offering space to recalibrate the nervous system and deepen your connection to self.

Rooted in Wendy’s training in Xiamen and her ongoing exploration of mindful movement and internal practices, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to experience a different relationship with movement.

What you’ll experience:

  • A refined introduction to Taichi principles through embodied practice

  • A slow, continuous Taichi Yoga flow cultivating balance and internal awareness

  • Breathwork to support the circulation of Qi and nervous system regulation

  • Subtle guidance to deepen sensitivity, presence, and ease in movement

  • A grounding integration to close

  • You’ll also receive a simple, thoughtfully-designed sequence to continue your practice at home.

  • Suitable for all levels. No prior experience in yoga or Taichi is required.

About Wendy Chan

Wendy's background and interest in eastern and western philosophy led her to explore and study the workings of the universe's mind, body and subtle energies. This exploration led her to realise her true calling - to teach and share yoga and meditation. With diverse training in yoga and meditation in different traditions, Wendy seeks a balanced and complete view of one's practice and spiritual development.

Founder and lead trainer of Yoga Seeds, Wendy leads the Yoga Seeds Shala's teaching team and the Yoga Seeds Teacher Training Program faculty. She curates and designs yoga curriculum, programs and activities for Yoga Seeds classes, retreats, training and workshops in locations all over Asia to spread the seeds of yoga wherever she can. Her curiosity and love for travelling and nature has led to her continued discovery of different genres of yoga and meditation.

As an ambassador for Yoga Gives Back, she organises regular fundraisers and classes for charity. She is deeply committed to giving back to the community through our Karma Yoga Projects.

Wendy's style of yoga is a unique blend of Classical, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, emphasising the breath in both movement and stillness. She teaches anywhere she can unroll her mat, and her love for nature has brought her much inspiration - be it from her diving adventures or mountain hikes.
