At Yoga Seeds, we believe there is much to discover when different traditions of mindful movement meet. We’re delighted to welcome Julian Low of Wushiren Theatre, a member of the Singapore Traditional Wushu Elite Team, to the Shala for an introduction to the art of Chen-style Taichi.
Rooted in an ancient tradition of moving meditation, Taichi invites us to slow down and listen — to the breath, to the body, and to the subtle relationship between stillness and movement. Through gentle, continuous movements, we explore balance, coordination, grounding, mobility and relaxation, while cultivating a quieter, more attentive mind.
In many ways, Taichi shares a beautiful kinship with yoga. Both ask us to move with awareness rather than simply move the body; to find connection between breath, body and mind; and to discover strength not only through effort, but also through softness and presence. This introductory session offers a chance to explore the fundamental principles and movements of Chen-style Taichi, with no prior experience needed.

If you've ever wondered what yoga is truly about beyond the physical practice, this two-day workshop led by our founder Wendy Chan offers the perfect starting point.
Together, we'll explore the philosophical foundations of yoga through two of its most influential texts—the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras—and discover how their teachings can help us navigate stress, uncertainty, relationships and everyday life with greater clarity and purpose.
Each day combines Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Storytelling, Philosophy and group discussion, allowing you to experience these teachings both on and off the mat.

Get ready to move, sweat and explore your edge. This special 90-minute Friday session introduces Universal Yoga, a dynamic and physically engaging approach to yoga built around multi-directional movement, strength, coordination and mindful awareness.
We’ll begin with 15 minutes of introduction and sharing with Henry, offering an overview of the Universal Yoga method and what makes this practice distinct. This is followed by 75 minutes of Universal Yoga, with a dynamic cross-mat layout that takes us beyond the familiar front-to-back orientation of a yoga class.
Henry teaches with passion, precision and intensity, encouraging students to work with focus, explore their limits and discover their own potential.
