Self-care for Pain Relief Workshop with Dr Bryan Ng

  • Yoga Seeds Shala 1384 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 Singapore, 569932 Singapore (map)

Learn how to effectively manage pain through trigger point release and other practical strategies.

Pain is good for us, surprisingly.

Though uncomfortable and sometimes unbearable, it is a good sensation that wants to protect us. It alerts us to potential or actual damage to the body and hints about causes. While some types of pains signal severe conditions, the more common aches and pains can be self-managed.

Regardless, it is something we should not ignore blatantly.

Sifting through the endless sea of self-help advice on the internet may be frustrating and time-consuming, especially when faced with conflicting or inaccurate information that might worsen your condition.

Join Dr Bryan Ng, a highly-skilled Osteopath and experienced yoga teacher, in an enlightening 2.5-hour workshop where he can simplify your self-care pain relief strategy.

During this interactive session, Bryan will identify the most common pain trigger points in affected muscles and guide you through a unique, easy-to-follow, 5-step method for effective pain relief. You will have the opportunity to ask him direct questions and clarify any doubts you have in this open and nurturing space.

Props for the session will be provided. If you would like to own a set for your home practice following the workshop, you can pre-order a Starter Kit, which includes two massage balls and a convenient mesh bag, available for collection on the workshop day. Simply drop us a WhatsApp message after purchasing your workshop ticket.

About Bryan Ng

Bryan is an Osteopathic physician who currently runs his private practice, The PainFree Clinic, at the Novena Medical Center. He is highly skilled and experienced in the treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal pain and injuries. This is reflected in his yoga teaching approach in which he aims to deliver safe and well-sequenced classes that meet his students' needs and strengths.

Bryan specializes in Yin yoga, slow flow and alignment classes. As a valued faculty member of Yoga Seeds' teacher training programs, he teaches anatomy, physiology and yoga philosophy.

Bryan draws his inspiration from several highly respected yoga and meditation teachers he met during his own yoga training which spanned over the last two decades. After completing his first two yoga teacher training programs in 2001 and 2004, his desire to further his learning of anatomical and health sciences led him into the study of osteopathic medicine. Since then, he has been driven to integrate his scientific education with the lifelong study of yoga philosophy, Sanskrit language and yoga therapy.

With his practical understanding of human anatomy and movement and his nurturing love for yoga, he hopes to continue on this lifetime interest to help people integrate their bodies and mind.
